This welding process is repairing a cracked Nissan TB42 alloy cylinder head, the repair requires skills and processes we have developed, that successfully reclaims an expensive casting, that would otherwise be thrown away. Our welding expertise also extends to alloy bull bars and alloy fuel tanks. |

The machining process shown here, is the top cutting of a replacement valve seat insert. This process is started when the old valve seat failed to meet specification. The old insert was then removed, a new recess cut to receive a replacement insert, the new insert was then pressed into the head, and we now see the first stage of achieving the new valve seat height just before cutting the seat. |

The Cylinder Boring machine, is shown here, boring out a set of semi-finished sleeves, that have been replaced in the engine block, the choice of a semi-finished sleeve instead of a finished sleeve allows the machinist to achieve a tighter specification in roundness and parallelism for the finished job. The finished to size product may save time in the job, but our experience has shown us that an old engine block cannot be round and parrallel after years of service, and unless it is the shape of the old block causes the finished sleeve to take the same shape as the block, and this leads to poor piston ring performance. Our experience in engines leads us in this direction with improved processes and machining procedures in everything that we do. We strive to achieve a top job. |

The honing process not only establishes the size specification to suit the pistons, but it also establishes the surface finish specification for the piston ring design being used in the engine. Most late model engines now use low friction piston rings to achieve increase power and fuel economy. This ring design is very unforgiving unless the specified surface finish is correct. This is part of our ongoing process improvement program in machining and staff training. |

This 12HT Toyota diesel engine is nearly completed and shows the stages of assembling the fuel injection pump. Our recommendation is always to have your fuel system fully inspected, and reconditioned as required, by competent fuel injection specialists. This part of your diesel engine is critical to the life of the engine. |
